Using nanotechnology, the inside of the bottle is treated with a thin layer of silicon dioxide. Silicon dioxide is used to make glass and is responsible for giving glass its dense surface. You can find silicon dioxide in nature in the form of sand and quartz crystals. Purist bottles are the first to use the technology that gives plastic glass-like properties, which in turn gives you the same feeling as if you were drinking directly from a glass, but with the flexibility and weight of a plastic bottle.
