1.5 min reading

It's not every day that a Gotland Grand National winner becomes an Umara ambassador, but today we can announce that Mikael Persson will be training and competing with Umara in 2021. Mikael won GGN 2020 and is focused on defending that title in 2021. Below you can read a bit more about Mikael and his ambitions.

Mikael Persson - Enduro

Mikael Persson, born in 1995, grew up in Karlskoga. He has been riding motorcycles since the age of 4, so he was almost born on one.

"It has always been a dream since I grew up to reach elite level in Enduro, which I achieved with a fantastic Youth World Championship Gold in 2015. Since then, I have managed to stay at the top level in Sweden with several Swedish Championship Golds.

I am now looking forward to a fantastic 2021 where I truly hope that we can return to our normal practice of the sport and that we can travel without major complications around the world. My focus this year is primarily on the Swedish Championship, but I have also planned to make some appearances at the World Championship when it takes place on home soil in Sweden during the summer as well as in neighboring Estonia.

Nutrition for me is a very big part of my practice of Enduro; for several years I have experimented and looked for good products that are also gentle during the 7-9 hour long competition days we have, so that both body and mind can keep up with the high speeds among stones and trees. I have truly found my place with Umara among their products, which have enhanced my performance ability during the long days!

Good luck with the season Mikael!
